CHRISTMAS TIME ONCE AGAIN
Christmas Time Once Again” – A Heart-Warming Christmas Song Created by Whitley’s Thursday Drumming Circle
World Groove CIC is proud to announce the release of “Christmas Time Once Again”, a joyful and heartfelt Christmas song created by the young adults and young people who attend our weekly Thursday Drumming Circle in Whitley. This inspiring project, now known as UNITED EXPRESSIONS, is a celebration of community, creativity, and togetherness.
The Thursday drumming circle brings together young people and young adults with special needs, providing a safe, welcoming, and energetic space each week. Over the past year, this circle has grown into a family—one built on rhythm, connection, support, and shared joy.
When creating the Christmas song, we asked our drumming family a simple but meaningful question:
“What brings you joy at Christmas?”
Their answers shaped the lyrics, giving the song authenticity and heart. We then explored some of the group’s favourite rhythms and chose a beat that inspired the sound and feeling of the track.
To bring the melody to life, one of our parents — a music teacher — stepped in to help shape the words into a warm, sing-along chorus that is both simple and sweet. The final result is a catchy, uplifting Christmas song created entirely through community collaboration, creativity, and love.
The music video stars all the young people who attend the Thursday drumming circle, alongside their parents and carers. It captures the spirit of the group—joy, unity, expression, and the magic of Christmas through their eyes.
This project was brought to life with no formal budget, relying solely on the dedication and passion of volunteers, families, and the wider community who believe in the work of World Groove CIC. Together, we have built a foundation for a space that celebrates neurodiversity, supports individuals with special needs and autism, and strengthens community bonds.
World Groove CIC is committed to growing this safe, inclusive, and expressive community even further in 2026 and beyond.
